rushing as a sophomore tips?

Any advice for a sophomore rushee? didn't have the grades but I'm set on joining a fraternity. what do I wear? I've got my sperrys, polos, and Hawaiian shirts but I don't want to come off as a try hard.
Is it a bad thing if I'm a sophomore?
I'm definitely not going to be sober, but I'm not going to be blatantly inebriated during rush.

omg please don't wear a hawaiian shirt to rush. how has no one said anything about that yet?
wear a polo or button down with a pair of khakis. don't wear anything stereotypically "frat" unless you want everyone to laugh at you behind your back. even if your style is seersucker and sperrys, you'll end up looking like a try hard. this is arizona. dress to blend in and let your personality speak for itself.

You will probably be in good shape, if questioned about your GPA just say what you said on this site.
If you're really well liked, a lower GPA won't affect you to most houses
