not from cali?
by: Lizill be coming here next year. Im from a small high school in Ohio. I heard many of the girls in the sororities here were from cali? can i still get a bid from alpha phi or pi phi if I'm not from cali or arizona?

So you are hoping for a bid from either of the two best houses at Arizona? You and like 1800 other girls! They both have girls who are not from California, but they are the hottest girls, and I do believe knowing girls in the house helps, that's just a fact.
But girls obviously get into Pi Phi and Alpha Phi without knowing anyone and they come from all over, so it's up to you to be a rock star, and the houses really liking you and the massive amount of competition you have to beat. Dress really cute, be sweet and fun to talk to. And hot.

No Kidding. They are ripping on houses all over the place. They are very insecure about rush which makes them meaner than usual.

To increase your chances of being asked back from the more popular houses make sure you have recommendation for the houses you are most interested in.
A parent or recent graduate can provide you with this. They help the chapter become familiar with you before you attend your first rush party. Enjoy!

The majority of girls here are from Arizona then Cali, then everywhere. Both houses you want are filled with girls from California who rush girls they know from home but they also pledge girls who did not know a single member. Keep an open mind because you have chosen the two most difficult houses to join. I am curious why you want only APhi or Pi Phi when you have not met anyone yet in any sorority. Better keep an open mind or you are going to be seriously disappointed, or go to a college where you know girls in the top houses you seem to want. The odds are against you,not being mean just honest.

Why do you feel that way? Literally everyone in this thread is telling you that isn't true. You sound like you're whining about getting dropped from those houses, and rush hasn't even started yet.
Just try to chill out. I know girls in "top" houses who are from all over the country. Not just Arizona and California.
But why would you be so upset about a house that didn't want you? If they don't want you, good riddance, and join a house who does. Would you really want to be in a house that discriminates based on where you are from? (Not that ANY house does)
Now please for the love of god, do not come to greekrank for rush advice.
