So listen Kappa sigma always rushes fall and so does many other top tier fraternities. I would recommend you being a freshman if you're a sophomore dont stress but also make sure you rush for a couple other houses in mind such as PIKE, Sigma chi, SAE, ext... just make sure you rush fall. And if you wanna get into Kappa Sigma you have to make sure when you do rush be cool with the guys make sure your a cool dude fun to be around and just keep the convo running. Also you will prob get a bid if you're good looking.

spring is not a good time for rush just because a lot of the top tiers don't participate in them.

fall is generally a lot more fun and if you're doing sorority rush you'll have more choices

I care because I️ don’t want to be in a middle tier frat and the only top house other than kappa sigma is pike ....

Listen the top houses are PIKE, KAPPA SIGMA, SIGMA CHI, AND SAE. if your a cool guy and can hold a convo you should be able to make most of them. Rush fall they will all be hosting events and I agree rush big or go home.

That's the thing bud, if you're just naturally good looking you have an advantage. why do you think the top houses have the reputation "good looking" it's because they take those guys.
