No one can tell you. Yes, your year in school and your gpa do play a factor, but we have no way of knowing if you'll be dropped by a lot of houses.

You won't know unless you try. So you may as well rush. I do think you have a good chance of getting a bid. I doubt you would get dropped from every house. But keep an open mind towards the houses that do invite you back, because they might not be the ones you want.

No one but the most desperate bottom tier is going to keep a low GPA sophomore.

you started your own thread. Short answer: no, you can always rush the new unhoused sorority. So can 930234802 (who started this thread). The established sororities aren't gonna be real interested in a 2.8, but a 3.1 is probably going to get you past open house rounds. After that, who knows?

So basically with a 3.1 and 47 units as a sophomore I'm Ok?

Probably ok for a lot of houses with a 3.1 at least through first round, but definitely not st some like Chi Omega.

47 units doesn't sound like a sophomore. I'm sorry but most sororities want someone who is going to be there for all 4 years. They make exceptions for sophomores that they really like.. but past that it, you will receive HEAVY cuts. Be prepared to only have 1 or 2 options.

Well I'm double majoring and it requires 120 units to graduate so I'll be there for 3 years so I'll be there for a while. I'm putting that on my app as well so it's clarified.

Btw 60 units is considered a junior- just saying.
