need advice!! how to choose...
by: SyNew PNM coming in the fall! How am I supposed to choose a house? What do I look for? Do I base it all off of conversations I have? Their philanthropy? How did you choose your house?? THANKS!! xo

You'll just know. Stop trying to figure it out before rush happens.
Also, you're a PNM. You don't choose. The houses choose you. You have VERY little say in which houses you go back to unless you're one of the top 2% PNMs that every house wants.
I know we call it a mutual selection process, but it really comes down to the chapters choices. Not the PNMs.

@For real, it seems you made a slip of your typing fingers as you are not posting in the right thread. Neither of the posts above yours is self-ranking nor hating.
The OP sincerely needs to know she has no control beyond her personal actions as to whether a house will invite her back, and she will have to graciously make the best of any party invites she receives.
Truly, OP, the who/what/when/where/why/and how of your choosing the best home for you during recruitment can only be handled by you alone. Any advice we give might be ignored/dismissed by you. We do not know you. We will not be with you during recruitment.
How I chose my house may not be how you decide to choose. I can tell you one of my pref homes had women of intelligence, appeal, and graciousness beyond words but remained a house where even after three parties I had not grown closer via conversation or feelings of affinity to any of their members.
You will throughout your life devote some time and talent toward any sorority's philanthropy, thus if you so desire choose your house partly based on their philanthropic charity.
Your actions will speak volumes to sorority women, so be the friend you want them to be.
