fall '16 open bidding

Hi!
I'm transferring to U of A next fall and will be rushing as a sophomore. It could be different, but being from the south we usually drop sophomores not because there is something wrong but because we value the freshman more.
Could someone tell me who participated in open bidding last fall so that I can kind of feel out the houses that may participate in it this coming fall, in case I am dropped? That way I won't be making a blind choice.

You're not going to get dropped from every single house. Plenty of sophomores get bids. If they don't, it's because something else is wrong with them. Not because they're sophomores.
You may get dropped from the "good houses" (again, not because you're a sophomore) but those houses won't be participating in COB anyway so you may as well take what you can get during formal recruitment.
