by: Pnmdo you have to know someone in a top house to join? I'm coming in as a freshman next fall with my friend. Her sister is in a top house so it's almost positive she'll get in. I don't care about being in the same house but honestly feel like I would fit well in those houses. I'm fairly attractive, skinny, and my parents are mildly successful from and upper class community. Please no hate, I don't know anyone that goes here and is involved with Greek life. Thanks!

although your post sounded so superficial I understand what you're saying. I rushed this fall coming from out of state didn't know a single person here and I got a top house. this website makes it seem like it's all about who you are coming in but let me tell you from very recent experience it's all about the way you present yourself during rush.

I get what you're saying. I came in as an out of state student fully expecting the recruitment process to be like how it is on the east coast. I didn't have any letters of recommendation, I didn't know a single person in any of the houses, and I got the house I wanted. Just be yourself and you'll end up where you need to be. It almost always works out how it should in the end :)

I was in a similar situation this past year when I rushed. I didn't know a single person at this school, but I ended up in a top house. I understand your point, but going through rush don't worry about which house is top. In the end, it matters where you feel the most comfortable.
