rushing during the spring/living in sorority house

SO i'm probably going to rush during the spring. if i join a sorority, would i be able to live in the house during the 17-18 school year or would i have to wait? is getting a room in the house competitive?

its harder to get a spot since most people usually sign contracts before they even get spring girls..but if the waiting list is short and u tell someone you want to live in asap you might be able to get a spot
