sophmores going into sororities
by: QuotaIs there a certain quota of sophomores that ever sorority has to take or are they able to not take any?

Some houses take more sophomores than others. I went through this past fall as a sophomore and it significantly decreased the amount of houses that called me back. Me and a couple of other sophomores were getting back the same exact houses every set, so it was obvious that some prefer to not have sophomores. It doesn't decrease your odds of getting a bid, you just won't get "top tier" houses in most situations. While that can be frustrating, it's also good because you don't want to be in a sisterhood that discriminates based on you being a little older than other girls. :) Good luck with rush

Yes it may very well decrease the amount of houses that invite you back. You may have smaller invite lists. But keep in mind, it only takes one bid. :)
You're not going to go bidless because you're a sophomore. You may not get into the house you want and have as many options as freshmen, but if you don't get a bid, it won't be because you're a sophomore. It'll be because of other reasons. Hopefully there are none.
