what is the real ranking of the sororities

The truth is that Greek life at U of A is very competitive. There were over 1400 girls that went through recruitment last year. PNM's should be grateful to get a bid from any house- tiers should not matter. If you are concerned about tiers as a PNM, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. The girls who have the "best" recruitment are those who are true to themselves and keep an open mind about every house.

Are you seriously on Greek rank asking for a description of each sorority? Number 1 mistake to make as a pnm. Go through rush like everyone else and form your own opinions of each house. It's incredibly superficial to ask anonymous people to help you form your opinions about people you haven't gotten the chance to meet.

rushing here isn't really competitive, if they like you and you had good grades then they like you. It's nothing personal. The key to success during recruitment...
Good grades (freshmen 2.7+ | sophmores 2.5+)

Sorry but I so disagree with this. The grades you posted are low for what the houses actually look at. In my RC group I was shocked at how deep the cuts were after round 1. There were so many girls crying because they were only asked back to 3 or less houses. These were girls with decent grades who were reasonably attractive. I do not know one single person who went through recruitment without being cut from at least one house. You have to be prepared for this and have a positive opinion and open mind for the houses that ask you back- you have something they value.
If you base your opinion on tiers or other people's descriptions, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. There are 300 girls in these houses. Don't base your opinions on generalizations.

Go through with an open mind. Learn to tell if a house made you just feel comfortable/is pretty or if you genuinely clicked with the girls and bonded with them. Thats how you get past the "front". All houses on campus are great and you'd be lucky to join any. There are also so many girls in each house that you're bound to find at least one person you love no matter which house you join. Good luck and take what you read on here with a grain of salt. Most people have friends in chapters other than their own and its not this catty.
