$270 mil for obese football players
by: $270 milWhy did Northwestern spend $270 mil on a practice stadium that only obese football players and other athletes can use? Can't that money have been used better? This is an outrage to academics and a huge waste of money put towards people whose only skill is throwing a ball, and who tend to do communication and other low-earning majors.

Ok I looked at the statistics and it turns out NU players bring in $375k in revenue per year per player. $75k of that goes to tuition + room and board, and maybe $50k more of that goes into miscellaneous things. So they do bring in maybe $250k a year in profit per player for NU a year. But that still doesn't justify building a $270 mil building. Maybe spend $50 mil instead, and use the rest to either pay the players or improve Northwestern's academics. The players are here to serve Northwestern and get an education. They don't need a fancy 1,000,000 sq ft stadium.
