super confused
by: LolLike so many sororities are giving out snap bids what is this. I know there's quota stuff but ZTA have out 11 in the first week and Alpha phi has like 12 to give out. That really looks awful on the sororities parts.

They aren't snap bids. They are open bids, bids given out in the COB (continuous open bidding) process. Panhellenic sets a total and any chapter whose membership is under that total is able to give out these bids until they reach total. Total was reset to the median chapter size after recruitment. It doesn't "look bad", it is just a process for chapters to give out additional opportunities for women to go Greek.

NO ONE is giving out snap bids. Those are given out on bid day only and only the people who received a snap bid know they did. They are part of the regular pledge class.
Some sororities may be giving out open bids because they have a few spots available now than panhel increased total. Or like with AXiD and SDT, they were already significantly below total.

Have said, many greek life offices reset total(the total number of members a sorority can have at one time) after formal recruitment. Often after formal all sororities are over total, so setting total to the new average chapter size makes sense. This allows some chapters to pledge some more members. The smart chapters take advantage of the opportunity.

They all already began and they don't publicize it, basically if you're a friend to a girl in a chapter and they are doing COB they might tell you about it but there is no guarentee
