APHI SORORITY RANKING

I'm a pnm and I'm just wondering why aphi is considered a decent sorority because just a couple years ago they were ranked WAY UNDER axid??

I was wondering the same thing my mom was in a sorority here and she told me not to go aphi because I would have a horrible time there ?!

Aphi is top of the mid tier so not that bad. But they are just wannabe zetas.

APhi was bad… maybe in the 80s and 90s. Like really bad. Bottom. But these days they’re fun. Keep up with the big 6 and middle tier. I was top 6 and liked them a lot and they kept the same crowd for the most part. They were cool, just not one of the “historic” houses at UT. Not a bad place to be now, especially if you’re coming from out of state since connections ban be hard to make. Big 6 (or honestly, PKT, which I wasn’t) Is the easiest social scene but if you’re fun and cute you’d probably have a good time in Aphi or AXO

alpha phis put in the work to rise out of the ashes of the old panhellenic hierarchy
proves that system change is possible but memories are long and olds from 50 years ago keep digging up old’s news
send your grandmother a telegram that texas is over the old system and send your mother an email that it is 2022 and everything is not the same

Yeah - things change. ADPi was right under Zeta for forever (60-70 yrs...), then in early 2000's things started changing...so things do change over time. Good for some, bad for others.

yes when your mom was in a sorority THREE DECADES ago
join where you BELONG now and join the sorority that also WANTS you
because in another generation it will all CHANGE again and you will be telling your daughter about when your sorority used to be ranked TOP but now you wouldn’t be caught DEAD there

My grandmother told me Alpha Phi was a pretty good house (solid mid) back in the early 60's and my mom said they were struggling a bit by the time she got to UT in the late 80's. I know a few girls that have pledged there and had good experiences. Seems like they are definitely on the rise in the last decade or so.
