zip code cuts? do they apply to out of staters?

I heard zip code is a factor during rush at UT. How can people from Texas doing the recruiting judge what makes the cut if they're outsiders to the social climate in other states? Especially areas where flaunting your wealth is scoffed at? Don't think you can dig up people's tax returns if they're confidential either. Is the rumor real or a joke?

So they assume you don't have money if you're already from out of state and paying way more in tuition, and considering greek life to begin with? Isn't it easier to pick up on what y'all think income tells you by talking to someone for twenty minutes? Those are the real things people can't change.

They don't care about talking to someone for twenty minutes. They might find out that people have more than them. They couldn't handle that. LOL!
