sig ep really going to slip?

by: gte

Wondering if Sig Ep is truly going to slip once they're totally dry next year, but would their date parties and stuff offsite still keep them relevant?

SigEp recruits men who have the confidence to be different. SigEp can be a life-changing organization for its members once we get alcohol out of the chapter house. It will no longer be just a place where where "frat bros" and their groupies go to party for four years.

Are any other semi relevant frats going dry?

Sigep nationals is deadly serious about shutting this chapter down, and re-colonizing under their rules. They could care less about this chapter's so-called top tier status. They just resigned from national IFC because other frats were too soft on drinking.

They're determined to change the alcohol/hazing culture. They're swimming against the tide, but they're on a mission, and this chapter's status won't deter them.

When push comes to shove, they'll shut it down if behavior doesn't change. They don't want a chapter whose status is built on substance abuse and harmful hazing.

The Greek system floats in an ocean of alcohol. 18 and 19 year-olds with poor judgement and no adult supervision. What could possibly go wrong?
Lots of alcoholism starts in college.

Big changes are coming for these guys. They're openly defiant and out of control.

We’ll see. It’s been business as usual so far.

You literally have no idea what you’re talking about. My guess the loser who posted this is on the alumni board from another fraternity at a different school.

What happened to working together to promote good? No reports in the news were ever verified. You only promote the negative stereotypes about Greek life when you constantly message rumors online

What do you mean they weren’t verified? There were police reports for sure and 1 arrest so far.

Why are so many wishing for Sig Ep's downfall?
This was an isolated incident for the Austin PD and the courts to handle.
There is no basis for blaming the chapter and assuming collective guilt.
Hopefully their nationals will deescalate the confrontation, and cooler heads will prevail.
