pkt...the female omicron
by: PKTPKT really needs to pull an Omicron because they won't even associate with other PKT chapters. Don't even think of affiliating if you transfer here. If you're a legacy, forget it unless you're a UT PKT legacy.

Listen to yourselves. Elitist is defined in this thread. "building the chapter they want" "choosing the girls they want" As if what THEY want is all that matters. This is the University of Texas, not the center of the universe. These people are in for a rude awakening when they finally grow up. If they ever grow up.

I was a triple legacy in a certain PKT chapter and i joined it at a school in the north (a school with one of the most competitive rush systems mind you) because of that. Its not top (by no means lower either) but I joined because I was a legacy. So you're basically saying if I were to go to UT they wouldn't accept me because 1)I'm not a UT specific legacy (but I am a legacy from SMU) and 2) I'm not currently in a "top chapter"

Well that's all good to know. I wasn't planning on transferring any time soon, just thought that was an interesting view point of those houses. But I'm curious, what is ut rush based off of? Legacy, letters of rec, high school, and family name don't mean anything at my school, purely looks and personality, what would it take to be considered, for example, suitable for a big 6 house? Or what differentiates the middle houses?

To "Wow" -- so you're saying it's Elitist to choose your friends? And what is wrong with building the chapter you want? If the transfer doesn't fit, she doesn't fit. There are plenty of other organizations at UT that will accept her. She should have gotten into UT in the first place instead of going to a sub par school to make a good GPA to transfer. Sorry, but I side with the chapters that aren't door mats and can make their own decisions.
