Beware of recruitment ladies. Especially, if you have self-confidence issues. You might think you love a house and they love you back, but then when you get your schedule, they won't be there. You'll begin to question yourself and ask why you weren't good enough for that house. In reality, cuts are not personal at all. However, I know many girls who did not have a positive experience with recruitment and they still question themselves and why they weren't good enough. But even if you end up with a house you don't 100% love, give it a chance. You may have the best time of your life.
^my friend sent this from TCU's Greek rank rank and I thought it would be a good reminder to everyone going through next year
Also, PLEASE if you decide to drop but still want the option to put yourself on the snap bid list, talk to your rush week counselours as there are sororities every year that don't make quota and snap bid (i.e. Kappa this year with a good 25+ snap bids and Pi Phi the year before)

Honestly, for girls in Texas, who you know is huge as they are the girls who will be vouching for you during recruitment. Reach out to them during the summer and before silence or try and stay up with people you may know at UT - it helps you give a feel for the Greek system before the craziness starts!
