Acacia Fraternity at University of Texas at Austin - UT 1.4 Far from the WORST frat at UT, but they have one of the worst reputations because they fail so hard at doing rush it's ridiculous. They are very desperate and sometimes hand out bids to people who have been at their parties for less than an hour. When you combine that with constant lying about their status on campus you end up with a bunch of creepy posers that worry more about how much Polo they own or how many blonde girls they have over than actually having fun.

Acacia Fraternity at University of Texas at Austin - UT 1.0 Hate to pile on but these guys are desparate and bottom of the barrell types. Add to that the big disadvantage of a no name fraternity brand. Never was and never will be a relevant frat at UT.

Acacia Fraternity at University of Texas at Austin - UT 2.0 You know in my time at UT I have heard some bad rumors of Acacia. I didn't know any of their brothers, so I pushed it off to exaggeration. Unfortunately, I met a gang of them at a philanthropy event of another org, and it really is sad to say that this is a fraternity in UT. They certainly are a bunch of degenerates.

Acacia Fraternity at University of Texas at Austin - UT 3.0 It's sad because I'm pretty sure they were trying to give me a bid or whatever... It was almost like they were begging. Literally begging. It's sad, their house isn't all the way awful, but the guys are. I met girls and the second they asked me which frat I was looking at and dumbly named acacia... They were unimpressed and told me that acacia was full of creeps. Man I swear I've heard that like 10x now.

Acacia Fraternity at University of Texas at Austin - UT 3.0 They're a bottom tier house but not bottom tier like tke or sigma pi. They have a decent house and really try to make connections with sororities and improve themselves. The problem is that they have poor discipline with who they rush. When I talk to them it seems like some of the guys they pull in are solid but others are social misfits who thought joining a frat would make them cool, which makes sororities hesitant to associate with them even if some of the brothers have good relations.

Acacia Fraternity at University of Texas at Austin - UT 1.0 For a while there it almost looked like they were about to crawl out of bottom tier, or at least move up to phi delt and lambda chi's mild level of success, but after that pledge class looks like they're right back down to square one. Next time you find mild success, don't ruin it by suddenly acting like you're a Greek monolith and maybe you won't be a joke on campus. "Not as bad as TKE" does not mean "major fraternity"

Acacia Fraternity at University of Texas at Austin - UT 1.0 Most frats rise and fall in popularity each year; however, Acacia is synonymous with bad. If you join this fraternity you're signing up for four years of ridicule. If a small frat is what you're looking for, better to join Zeta Psi, Delta Chi, Sig Pi, or Pi Kapp. People actually respect them.
