what does it mean to be the gentlemen
by: dudeI read here that SAE FIJI and Lodge are the gentlemen houses. What does that even mean? Are all the others full of ahole types?

It's pretty dumb if you ask me. In my experiences, the gentlemen label is a way of saying "we have nice guys." Literally every frat party I have been to has these "gentlemen" mixed in with the beer-crushed-on-head douches. It's this idea of a southern gentleman which somehow implies a godly personality. No guys you're just nice. Geed guys can be "gentlemen" too.
