Right now they are a very random mix of girls because they just started so they got a lot of girls who dropped rush, were rejected, were too old to rush and stuff like that. So there is no real reputation to judge them on right now. If you are very pretty and a normal/cool person you could probably get a much better house and many legacies have chosen a different house that is a better personal fit for them instead. Or you may really love GPhi and decide to go with them.

Yeah there's a mix of girls in the house and overall the house is very snooty for being new. They are already choosing not to mix with some fraternities because they think they can set the bar high. Think they are top tier.

There are some girls that might think highly of themselves but there are so many more that are such great people. To be honest, every house is going to have some nice and some not-so-great girls. The thing about it is right now is it's the most random mix of girls. It isn't like all the other houses where most of the girls fit the same sort of personality model. But to be honest that's what I like most about it.
During rush, you're going to have to go through all of the houses regardless. Just make sure that you pick the one that you feel like you connect with the girls most or you'll regret it later.

Go through formal recruitment and see which house you like! Gamma Phi Beta is starting off very strongly at Michigan, but that doesn't mean it's the house for you.

michigan hasn't released their acceptances yet for next year so how can you plan on going here if you haven't even gotten in... but gamma phi is cute, they're new so you're gonna get hate but I see them moving up the ranks quickly to a middle tier sorority if that helps.

Yeah, I know I haven't been officially accepted, but I feel pretty good about my chances. And I do plan to keep an open mind. I do think sharing the legacy thing with my mom (and my sister who is a G Phi at Illinois) would be great but I will definitely look seriously at all the houses. Anyway, thanks for your help.

They're doing all right for a new house. It's too early to see what the enduring personality of the house will be and since they're new they're not as attractive to the top girls. Either that will change or not. We'll just have to see. But for now they've made a good start.
