do athletes rush?

i'm a recruited athlete and i want to be in a sorority but i'm not really sure if I'm allowed to be. are there a lot of athletes in greek life or do they usually just hangout with other athletes/their team?

It rarely happens. As a freshman, I would say that you probably won't have time to do both. I guess it could be a possibility if you're red shirting. But it will depend on your sport and where in the year your season falls in the year.

Also, athletes are very close to their teams. You may not find a need to be in Greek Life as well since the athletes seem to have their own sense of community.

it really depends on what sport you play. i see some field hockey players and lax girls rush, but it just depends on if you think you can handle it or not.
