basically when do frats start giving out bids and when is bid night in the fall

It really depends on the frat. Some will start in the next couple weeks or you may have a good idea if they want you or not by then. It will all be wrapped up by mid-end September.

this is not true. rush has already started and will continue next week. by end of next week most fraternities will be in the invite only phase
