In Greek life specifically I think the whole rank idea is so toxic and pgp is stupid as well. Almost no other school does it like that. Also if the university could support Greek life more instead of villianizing it that would be great

Every school with a big greek life system cares at least somewhat about ranks. Just look at any other big ten state school's greekrank page and it's literally exactly the same as Michigan's.

Greek life dominates the social scene a little bit too much here during freshman/sophomore year. If you're in good frat/srat then you'll have the time of your life. However, if you're not, you'll get left out of a lot of things and there's generally not as much to do in the social scene at this school. Other than that, it's a good school and the bar scene is pretty good once you go into your junior/senior year.
