cobtips umich 2020

Hi! I am a freshman at umich who just went through winter recruitment. I suicide bidded in my last round bc I had one house that I loved and one that I didn’t feel comfortable in. Unfortunately, I did not get a bid. I am looking to do COB because I wanted to rush to meet new people, and this is the prime time to do that. Do you guys suggest me to write emails to chapters I liked or should I wait for them to reach out to me (I filled out the COB form)

I would email the chapters you liked as well. Some people my think that looks needy but an the real world you follow up after interviews. Make the email like a Cover Letter, state what you liked about the house during recruitment and why you would be a great fit in it.

The truth is..... if you contact the chapters offering/ participating in COB noted on the FSL website you have a “chance” with those chapters. Don’t bother contacting the chapters not participating.
