how hard is it to get a bid to a top-tier frat

is it impossible to get into a top frat at UMICh without connections and coming out of state from Texas?

I mean most top tier have 200-400 rushes in the fall and take fall PCs of 20-30. So pretty hard, but not impossible. Similar odds for the winter just smaller pools for rushes and pcs

If you're cool it's possible. Being from the south would be a benefit in my perspective, much more frat area of the country than east coast/Michigan which is most dudes here. However obviously east coasters think they're sick and probably won't see it that way

Phi psi and Dke are the hardest to get bids from because it’s usually kids they already knew, but not always the case. Ox and Aepi are easier but still hard.

Easily a great look coming from the south. All frats look to diversify, even if they seem like they have a certain stereo type. Yes a common DKE kid is a FLID and phi si have their niche, being from the south is overall a bonus.
