If you’re not down to get hazed, don’t join a frat. Don’t even rush in the first place. Every house has a pledge term that isn’t going to be fun, it’s a grind but it’s worth it. If you don’t like where it’s going, you can drop the frat but don’t snitch and ruin the reputation of a fraternity and screw everyone else over. Thanks

if frats didn’t engage in abusive behavior that threatened the health and the actual lives of pledges, there would be no reason to snitch. you can build camaraderie and brotherhood without physical abuse and forced substance abuse.

I think you have a good point, but no one is forcing anyone to go through pledging. Yes, some of the things pledges have to do our not great, but people in Greek life just don’t want their experience to be ruined because someone who was uncomfortable pledging decided to snitch on whatever fraternity.
