Personality: Both houses are actually very similar, a lot of the kids in both fall Pc’s chose one over the other and vice versa. Dke is seen as more “hype” kids and Aepi is seen as more “chill” kids. Many people say you go to Dke to party and Aepi to socialize, although you can probably do both at either. Many people have been saying Dke was fun welcome week and Aepi has been a little slower. Both have a lot of kids from NY, LA, Miami, and are pretty wealthy.

Sororities: Both houses mix with Phi, Kappa, Tridelt, and Aephi. Saturday game days, Aepi will pg with Tridelt and Dke will pg with Aephi. However, the social schedules are virtually interchangeable and they actually host a lot of joint parties. Aepi went to DKE’s neon party last night. Aepi probably has slightly better sorority relations, even though it’s a small difference.

Competition: It is harder to get a bid from DKE than Aepi. This is because Aepi not only accepts a larger pledge class, but also accepts a winter pledge class on top of that. Dke accepts about 26 kids a year and that’s it.

Both Aepi and Dke are two of the best houses on campus and will make your college experience. Rush both and see which kids you fit in with more.

Something that I should mention though is that DKE is rogue because they merged with a top-tier rogue frat in order to earn their top tier status, which is something that the University was NOT okay with and wanted to make an example of, so when they refused to stop the merger, they got kicked off (still have nationals backing though), whereas AEPi is still in good standing with the University. Being in a rogue frat does come with a fair amount of risks, such as parties being shut down more quickly, and less hazing accountability.

On that note, AEPi is known to have the easiest pledge term of the top tiers, (but overall the top tiers are pretty tough so it doesn't make THAT much of a difference), whereas DKE will probably be brutal.
