aaifc vs ifc????

Some fraternities I’ve been to said they were in the AAIFC and others said they were in the IFC. How are they different? Are they both sponsored by Michigan? Does it matter if I rush ones from IFC or AAIFC?

There’s really no difference between the two. Both have the same rules just one is self governed and one is governed by the university

Both are taking freshman in the fall. Biggest difference is that IFC gives their fraternities protection from cops. AAIFC have to fend for themselves and once 10pm hits, they are subject to noise complaints and will get shut down by police and ticketed.

You can join AAIFC frats your first semester freshman year, you have to wait a semester to join IFC frats

All the IFC frats are doing dirty rush so you can still join, still safer then AAIFC which isn’t endorsed by the university
