pros/cons of joining disaffiliated frat

From what i can tell it’s about 50/50 on sororities that will willingly still mix with disaffiliated frats because every time they do they’re at risk of sopro which is much harsher for sororitys. The pros of being affiliated are the cops never bother you and sororities have nothing to worry about when mixing. The pros of being disaffiliated are going to be having fall rush next year.

the majority of the ifc is going to fail in fall 2019 bc no mid to top tier ifc frat is follow u of m's rule banning freshman rush. the ifc will be exposed as being even weaker than it already is. the ifc allows frat mergers as a way of avoiding their most serious sanctions, so what's the difference between a merger frat and disaffiliation? so it is that u of m luvs merger frats bc it means one less frat while u of m fears disaffiliation which creates greeks beyond their control. disaffiliation is the only way frats at u of m survive long-term
