Merging is the smart move. Sig Ep and Phi Delt proved this year that the IFC and U of M will ignore a merger into another IFC frat, and the frat in trouble is free to continue to do whatever they want while the members face no negative consequences. What's more, the merging members are off the official roster of the IFC frat so the national doesn't even know about it and so they don't have to pay dues or insurance premiums. The frat in trouble becomes a cash cow for the IFC frat. Everybody wins.
