they just got a new winter pc of about 20 girls and it looks pretty good. obviously bottom but could definitely come up quickly

No one ever cracks the top tier because it's been that way since the beginning of Greek life. They have potential to rise to middle tier like DG or ADPi but that's if a miracle happened

Do a basic google search of AOPi national and see what pops up. Lots of info on greek rank at other schools and on the UM threads about the AOPi national organization. Rumors are that they are highly unethical and treat their chapters as personal piggy banks. Look at situations at Cal, Minnesota, Tufts and many others. Someone on the UM thread posted a litigation search of the national to show what they are like. Someone from TN I think posted that the national was somehow loosely affiliated with the Dixie Mob. Seriously join at your own risk as the national folks are true money grubbing scum. Greek life is all about the $ which most people forget, but AOPi national takes it to a whole new level. Run don't walk away from this organization is my only advice.

Has anyone heard anything about what is going on with this sad situation? There was a fair amount of buzz on the Minnesota thread about how AOPi National tried to take the real estate owned by that chapter. In that case the Minnesota courts upheld the ownership of the real estate by the local group. Not sure if the ruling was appealed but given the awful reputation of AOPi National my guess is that it was appealed. I am also sad that other schools continue to be duped by the AOPi National and even allow them to colonize. One of the people posting on the Minnesota site actually called the National "scum". Wonder if there is some kind of escape clause in the membership guidelines where the great ladies at CAL AOPi could reaffiliate with another national!

Wow! Pretty sketch. Not surprising based on how the national behaved here at Cal. I do like the idea of making it impossible for them ever to be part of our panhel again. I believe the way they treated the members of the local here is unacceptable and I always believe that if someone does something once then they will do it again. I second the call to investigate the national further and get them banned from our panhel and campus so that they can never do what they have already done again. They are truly unethical morally challenged money grubbing thugs!

Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity is sincerely disappointed that it has been unable to achieve a resolution with Sigma 1916, Inc., the local housing corporation for Sigma Chapter. It is with our deepest regret that their intentional refusal to comply with the Fraternity’s Governing Documents has placed the Fraternity in the position to enforce disciplinary measures which will have repercussions upon the Sigma Chapter.

Please be advised that effective as of September 3, 2015, the current Sigma Chapter house will no longer be recognized as an AOII facility. After that date, no AOII activities will be permitted at the location. In addition, Sigma will no longer have permission to use or display the name “Alpha Omicron Pi,” the Greek letters “AOII,” or any other Fraternity trademarks or insignia, and the letters on the house will have to be removed. Although it will no longer be a recognized AOII facility, members may continue to live in the house per the terms of their housing agreements with Sigma 1916, Inc.

it's well known on campus in greeklife that the aoii dues are way too high. they are paying like three thousand a year per girl, way more than any other chapter on campus. as much as that person may be a troll, it's kind of true and it's clearly hurting their recruitment because who can afford that?
