recommendation letters necessary or not a thing?

Do people submit recommendation letters before rush here? I know each school has a different vibe on this policy but wanted fo know if it would look weird or be welcomed. Since I am a transfer I thought it would be helpful and because I have friends in a lot of different sororities at other schools who want to write me rec letters.

They won't hurt, but they don't matter that much. I had no recs that i know of for any of the houses i preffed, and i know girls with an amazing rec AND a letter of support for house XYZ or ABC who were cut after first sets. Don't worry, you really will end up in the right place if you don't go by reputations.

They dont reallly matter but wouldn't hurt i guess. I would worry more about the fact that ur a transfer
