getting a bid without knowing upperclassmen?

hey! im a freshman and i keep hearing a lot of talk about dirty rushing over the past couple months. id consider myself a normal social person...i have lots of friends already in a bunch of different groups but just not really juniors or seniors. I've noticed dirty rushing a little bit but no upperclassmen have approached me specifically about their sororities or anything and it's november..
if i don't know many upperclassmen girls at this point in the year do i have a chance at getting into a top tier sorority?

Nothing is set in stone; no one has their entire pledge classes figured out yet at all. Sororities may be looking and have girls in mind, but the recruitment process is truly open for everyone, meaning there will be equal opportunity for everyone going through the process

So, how much of a sorority decision is actually based on Rush Week or do the girls pretty much have their pledge classes decided prior to?
