Spring 2023: Frat Rankings

1) Sig Nu: (=)
Semester after semester, Sig Nu proves to be the top house. Rarely compete with anyone for rushes and Casa is one of the best party houses in College Park. This is the top frat at UMD.

2) ATO: (=)
Again, another frat at the top. Good pledge classes, although they sometimes get criticism for looking like prepubescent middle schoolers. Great parties, strong brotherhood, and great relations.

3) Theta Chi: (=)
This one is complicated--Theta Chi was never a bad frat to begin with, just didn't get the best guys or have the best relations. Yes, they absorbed phi delt, but mainly only one pledge class--older guys rarely go to events. Still have to prove that the Phi Delta relations won't dissolve once they're gone.

4) Sig Chi: (=)
Many say they're falling off, but they are still a top frat. Calvert is a great house and they have fantastic relations. It will still take a few more semesters to see if they actually fall off.

5 or 6) KA: (-)
Arguably the biggest fall off of any frat in recent history. A majority of the already small frat are seniors. The few kids they actually get are not what KA used to be, and you can tell this is the first time they've spoken to women before. They still have good relations, but time will tell.

5 or 6) Lambda: (+)
Seemingly tied with KA at this point, Lambda seems to be improving semester after semester. Good classes, relations growing stronger, cohesive brotherhood, and one of the main hotspots for postgames. Haven't passed KA yet, but are definitely closing in.

7) Tep: (+)
They have been consistently getting great classes, their relations are very strong for not being a top 5 frat, as they social with KD frequently. Additionally, they party in their chapter house which is a huge advantage over other frats. However, their social schedule is still mainly Phi Sig and Aephi.

8) Dsig: (=)
Delta Sig is a very good frat when it comes to brotherhood and relations. The brothers are all very close (some say too close at times) and are very close with good sororities like Axid. Grandma's is always a good time with good music. However, they haven't improved much in recent semesters and have remained stagnant.

9) Zeta Psi: (-)
The Zetas were always what seemed like an SEC frat at the wrong school, but not in the way that might seem. The guys are cool for the most part, but it seems like they realized the rush videos and darty highlight reels were too cringe for rushes as their classes recently haven't been anything special. Used to be ranked much higher, but it just doesn't feel right to have them any higher than they are here.

10) Adphi: (+)
Alpha Delt has been making great strides in the past few semesters. Their social schedule has gotten much better, their classes are improving in quality, and they continuously host darties at blue with the top 5 frats. A fe more good classes and they may pass a few frats.
