question about fraternity rushing

is it better to rush a fraternity that you know people in than rushing one that you don’t know anybody in? I ask this because When I heard that some fraternities are selective and give bids to mostly people they know, I got a little worried since I wouldn’t know if i’m Rushing a fraternity like that. I’m just kinda worried I’ll be wasting my time since they probably won’t give me a bid no matter what. Am I overthinking this?

its not better or worse just depends on what you want. Some frats are very selective about who they invite to stuff but its not like they are completely against people they don't know as well
