question about housing

I don't understand. Why do you guys have houses with greek letters on them and all but why aren't you allowed to have parties or anything in them? I don't go here but it's super weird haha. Is it cause your houses are tiny and you need more space?

1. Because when members of a fraternity drink their individual and group IQ drops from 80 to 2
2. Because when frat members drink they behave badly:
They become loud
They become destructive
They become repulsive
They can't afford the repairs
They can't afford the insurance
They cause harm to themselves and others
They can't afford the lawyers, the bail or the criminal charges.
3. Because when frat members drink they are irresponsible morons. Oops, that is 1 and 2 combined!

because most of the houses are owned by the school, so it's the same thing as a dorm basically. can't throw ragers in your dorms can you?
