big sister in house

by:

My sister is in what is considered a top house. She will be a senior next year. I will be a freshman. She is well known in campus. She has promised me a bid at her house.
1. Can she do that? Really?
2. Could being her sister cause another house to drop me?

I want to rush with an open mind and of course I want the best fit to be in my sisters house. But if it isn't then it isn't.

Legacies (sisters, daughters, grand-daughters) become placed at the top of the list. So basically you're guaranteed a spot if you want to be in that sorority.

They tell you legacies mean nothing at Ucla in orientation. Ask us legacies from out of state if we are a shoe in. I think it is held against you.

Trust me it isn't an issue when you have GPA/test scores above the freshman profile oh and a scholarship already in place. (Won't say what type as to not ID myself)
