true fraternity rankings

2012-2013 Year-End Ranks:

There are only a total of 19 IFC fraternities at UCLA. I'll discard one of 'em, Alpha Gamma Omega, cause they're a "specialty fraternity" (and, if I didn't, they'd be vying with Triangle for lowest-rep house). That leaves 18 houses which can evenly be divided by 6 into "Tier 1," "Tier 2," and "Tier 3."

Without ranking individual houses within each Tier:
1. Tier 1: SAE, SigChi, SigNu, SigEp, SigPi, ZBT
2. Tier 2: Beta, Lambda Chi, Pike, Pi Kapp, Theta Chi, Theta Xi
3. Tier 3: AEPi, DeltSig, DTD, Theta Delta Chi, Triangle, Phi Delt

What's interesting is that half of the 12 houses that have the most posters ranking them on Greekrank are Tier 1. This makes sense because they're the most visible houses.

The other six house with the most posters ranking them are mostly Tier 2 houses jockeying for position on this site by both ranking other Tier 2 houses down and themselves up (as is also demonstrated in the posts above). This is borne out by the fact that most of the Tier 3 houses have very few posters ranking them because they're not perceived as worthy of trolling.

SigNu and SigPi are the most vulnerable of the Tier 1 houses; either or both could be supplanted by Tier 2 houses in the next year or two (or by Phi Psi, whenever it gets re-chartered).

Feel free to disagree, but this is as close to an objective view of this school year's ranks as you're gonna' get here or anywhere.

No disputing that Tier 3 above are the lowest-rep houses this year. They're most def the lowest 6/bottom third out of the 18 IFC houses. And, don't see any of those moving up a tier anytime soon. Just stating the facts...Just go on the FB pages and websites of any of the houses and it's pretty obvi the kinds of members they have and the quality of women they pull.

top frats: ZBT/ SAE/ Sig Ep/ Sig Chi

breakdown
ZBT and SAE are the top two frats on campus. both great looking guys, muscular, fratty, great parties, see all the top sororities.
however, both have been on probation all year. word is ZBT is off in the fall which will be crazy and SAE is either kicked off the row (which would suck/ change things) or on heavy probation again (SAE is notorious for ALWAYS being on probation). yet these are definitely the top two frats.

Sig Ep follows. they are very close with Alpha Phi which is the greatest reason theyre a top house. however, they dont see much of kappa or Dg or any of the other houses. see some thetas tho for sure

Sig Chi is last of the top. nice guys but more just as friends to the girls. good house. see small groups from each of the top sororities but are notorious for getting used by girls just to pregame and start off the night. parties end early around 1130/12 and then the girls usually go to ZBT/ SAE/ with some going to Sig Ep

sig chi and sig ep do NOT beat SAE and ZBT
if you believe that you're foolish
sig ep is comparable cuz theyve been off social prob the enitre year which has really benefitted them but they still dont quite beat them
sig chi is a good house but def the lesser of the four because they get used solely to pregame the night
ZBT and SAE are the top two frats at this school no doubt

i wouldn't put any of the tope 4 above each other. SAE slipped hard and to be honest they are as good as gone. ZBT was a little dead this quarter, social prob hurt. I don't go to sig ep alot but I have friends who do and it seems like the younger guys have stolen the "best friend" title from the sig chi guys (decent amount of goobs in the younger classes, especially past sophomores). SIgep clung to their older class who was close with Aphi but that class is almost gone so unless they step it up they are going down hill. Sig chi was a pregame house until this quarter when SAE and ZBT died, their parties have gotten alot better. I'd put them and ZBT on top with SAE gone.

Look at the top 5 rankings! They're finally accurate

Zbt is top. Also why is lambda middle. They’re upper middle in my opinion.
