sorority recruitment for a 2nd time

I rushed as a freshman and didn't get the houses I wanted. For pref round, I was dropped by Kappa and DG. I really loved these houses, and decided to drop. I still had Chi O and Theta. I just didn't feel a strong connection there, but now I regret dropping. My question is whether Theta and Chi O will not consider me if I rush as a sophmore. Also, will DG and Kappa remember that they dropped me and not keep an open mind? I am still open to other houses as well. I just want to know if I hurt my chances by not pledging in the fall.

Also, I did have Gamma Phi, AD PI, KD, AXO, and AGD. I just regret not giving Chi O and Theta a chance, because I liked them a lot too. I would also be open to the other houses and I want to give them all a chance and open mind.

You're fine. I know a girl who accepted a bid from a lower tier house her freshman year, gave it a shot, but ended up dropping a couple weeks before initiation. The next year she got into a top house (who had dropped her the year before) and loves it.

Some houses have a national drop once drop always policy. I’m not at liberty to say which ones because that goes into membership selection and that’s very private.

Also it’s never good if you were invited to pref and you dropped those houses usually will not invite you back because they already invited you all the way to the last round and you essentially declined them.

They do notice more who they cut in the final two rounds. Your have a better shot if you were cut in the big first round cuts. Sorry about it.
