How bad is thetas hazing

I accepted my bid for theta because the girls were so welcoming at recruitment but my friend in another sorority told me some weird stories and kind of scared me. I don’t want to drop because I want to be in greek in general but is there any advice? Is it too late to join another one after I already accepted my bid?
