legacies

Does being a legacy to a sorority at W&L mean anything? Like will I get more consideration? I am a legacy to Kappa and Chi O.

the bigger point is that kappa and chi o don't compete for the same girls.

Honestly you got way too catty way too quickly. Tone it down they are both pretty much less than spectacular social clubs at an ok school.

Maybe you should reread ^^^. Nothing catty there. I've never heard of anyone who went to both Kappa and XO on pref night.

Real truth is that legacy can help if the sorority likes you. A girl cut from the top three got a bid to the sorority her graduated sister was in last year as a courtesy. All or most sororitys will give you an extra look if you are a legacy. I don't think any sororitys at W&L cut their legacies lightly or without decent discussion. They won't keep you if you don't fit in though or if you mess up. Some sororitys follow national or chapter rules regarding having to cut legacies early because otherwise they guarantee you a bid. All sororitys have different rules they follow. Legacies in my sorority are safe if they are not cut after the first night of rush. Arms is wrong and rude, sorry but true. Kappa is great and def one of the two top sororitys at W&L. Chi O is a good strong middle sorority. If you are a legacy to a sorority that is a poor fit then your legacy won't help you. It can enhance your resume but it won't change popular opinion.Everyone ends up in the right sorority for them. Usually no big surprises except friend groups can pull some meh girls into better sororitys.

Yes arms is the rude one, not the one calling one sorority 'great' and another 'middle' you could try to base that distinction on something other than shallow girly stereotypes but you would be lying. And please describe what a 'meh' girl is in a way that isn't 'rude'
