MIDDLE TIER
By: Honest RankingPosted:

A strong middle tier fraternity. Lots of athletes, above average parties consistently, and a good brotherhood. Pole 1 can be great.

The most average fraternity on campus. They are very diverse, have some fun parties here and there, but mostly they don't have much to speak for other than their cabin.

They aren't a very visible fraternity simply because they don't have many events or off campus houses to make them so. They are a solid group, have a handful of fun parties but that is pretty much it.

Phi Delt is a classic W&L fraternity. They have been in the top tier for a long, long time. They have a great brotherhood. Recently their social dominance has faded, simply because they don't have enough variety of events. Currently they coast on their own legacy to stay on top.

Chi Psi doesn't really have a defined identity yet, they are still a strange mix of people. There are a handful of OG Chi Psis who almost never leave the house, a really cool sophomore class of would-be SAE's, and then the entire "Windfall Society" group of former SAE juniors and seniors that keep the fraternity in the top tier. They have Windfall, Downfall, and Hooterville, and while some find that these parties to be rather stagnant, they appeal to a very specific group of "good ol' boys."

Sigma Chi is a very hard fraternity to rank. In terms of the members and their brotherhood, they should be middle tier. However, they have a ton of really fun annual parties and good houses like Upper Windfall, Pole 3, and King's Landing. Their sheer consistency with party quality and attendance, plus a cool sophomore class, barely pushes them into the top tier. The next pledge class will really determine if they stay there.

Definition of average W&L guys. Have the ability to do more but they don't, despite their real estate. Athletes, involved, and genuinely cool. Could do better, but just really never do.

Could eventually be where the E-Dawgs were, but a lot has to do with third year housing and really if they pull it off. If they are like the E-dawgs they will be fine, but know one really knows. The experiment is still ongoing. Probably will have a good class this year, but they only have 11 sophomores and after next year all of the E-dawgs will be gone, so there is still a lot to see with this crowd. If they have the spirit of the SAE they will be back eventually.
