We Owned the Row Then and Still Do
by: LXA 80s GodI was a LXA in the 1980s. I lived on in what was the newest, top of the line and most expensive apartment building at the time on Shrine place (Che-Something). My roommate was a Sigma Chi surfer from San Diego. He would often pass-out on the couch from too much partying. His GF, which is apparently now his wife, used to bang me bare-back on his bed when he was too out of it. She wasn't on birth control so I used to pull out and leave a prize on his pillow. He never figured it out. Don't tell him...

Sigma Chi has outshined and outlasted every other great house on the row at USC. Even our neighbors, the mighty SAEs, who had more political cover then any frat, ever at this school. The trustees covered for those guys forever. They folded but we're still here. Now we're left to deal with a bunch of imposter houses like Lambda, TKE and Pike. Houses that nobody at USC had ever heard of 10 years ago.
Now I know how Brady feels. It's not easy being the GOAT fraternity. We need some competition or it gets boring.
I wish SAE and ATO would return. It would be nice to have some competition.

SAE was kicked off for most of the 80s and they still were the top house. Never be another house like that at USC.
And to the idiot who keeps fixating in SAE never winning Ironman, it was because 2/3 of the SAE house back then was ineligible because they were all scholarship athletes. They don't let future hall if famers play intermural sports with the children.
