agd officially off the row
by: ohno18
Wow. I’m in the Panhellenic community and we all just got a letter saying basically because of negativity/rankings AGD nationals decided to end their time here at USC. Congrats a bunch of girls who have made it there home or even the small amount they just got there no longer have their space at USC.
We all feel a little guilty right?
Some things can be predicted and are going to be shifting at some point, but where is the end? Are we gonna start a new sorority? Is AXO gonna be the bottom house and then end up like AGD and so on and so forth? Till we only have upper middle/tops? Just like frats I think we need more sororities to either come back or begin establishment. I’m so sorry to the girls in AGD- I hope you find a new home.

It’s not the problem of needing to establish more chapters. If all the houses were at campus total, then maybe usc could invite new chapters, but since we’re not there yet, clearly it’s not the issue that all the girls going through rush found a home and that houses are getting too big. Sending love to all the AGD girls, sorry that this toxicity ruined the experience

The row could definitely use some more sororities. We frats outnumber them too much now. It makes it tough to schedule mixers and exchanges when there is so much competition for the same days. Plus sororities are way too big compared to frats and having them be capped at a certain size would be a positive improvement

I honestly don't think the op was trying to target AXO. It's a valid concern. Apparently with this campus and greek culture, in general, there always has to be a "bottom" house and it just so happens that houses like AXO have been ranked as "lower" houses. AGD leaving the row should be a wake-up call to all of Panhellenic that greek life is not thriving at USC and something needs to change. I hope this does not happen to any other sororities.
