2020 Fraternity Rankings
Despite DPS best efforts to shut every event down early, this was a big semester for a lot of houses. Here are our rankings going into 2020:
#1 Lambda Chi Alpha
Lambda snags the #1 spot after yet another strong fall semester. The boys of lxa reminded us yet again why they are #1 with the top pledge class on the row and some massive parties. It was an all round great semester for lambda with academy being the only slight disappointment.
#2 Sigma Chi
Sig Chi drops one spot to sit at #2. Our favorite OC boys had yet another strong fall semester but just fell short of the #1 spot. They pulled in a top pledge class (as always) and threw some of the craziest tailgates on the row (again as always) although the parties/darties were a little hit or miss. They’ll need to be in good form to climb back to the top next semester.
#3 Tau Kappa Epsilon
TKE holds steady at #3 after a pretty good semester. Things didn’t start out great this semester for TKE but they still had a great pledge class, threw some huge tailgates and topped it off with the 3rd best register on the row. While many people think these guys are on the decline, we think they could mount a serious push for #1 in the spring.
#4 Sigma Nu
Sig Nu moves up one spot to sit at the top of the upper tier. After fumbling at the end of the spring, sig nu came back very strong this semester. They started well with a solid pledge class and their parties and tailgates were bigger and better than ever. Not quite in the same league as TKE and the rest but they are certainly on their way there.
#5 Sigma Alpha Mu
Sammy comes in at #5 after a great fall semester. These guys came into their new house firing on all cylinders and ended up with a top pledge class and the best register of the year while throwing some huge parties and tailgates along the way. They are quickly closing the gaps in their sorority relations and are competing with Sig Nu to take the next step in the spring.
#6 Alpha Epsilon Pi
AEPi drops two spots after a lackluster fall. Their semester started off pretty badly after a lot of upperclassmen who carried this house graduated and the house downgraded. Despite being forced to throw down in a parking lot these guys were able to turn things around mid semester with a brand new party setup that just might bring them back into the fold in the spring.
#7 Zeta Beta Tau
ZBT drops one spot to sit at #7 after yet another semester in decline. It looks like these guys still haven’t found their footing since they were put on probation a few semesters ago. They pulled another mediocre pledge class and their parties were equally average. With AEPi in turmoil we expected these guys to make a huge run but they were unable to deliver.
#8 Pi Kappa Alpha
Pike holds steady at #8 after a decent semester. Pledge class was very hit or miss and they didn’t throw parties as frequently as other semesters. Their sorority relations are slowly improving and with both ZBT and AEPi struggling, they have some room to make a push in the spring.
#9 Phi Sigma Kappa
Phi Sig moves up one spot to sit at #9 after a strong showing this fall. They did surprisingly well at rush and their parties and tailgates were solid although their new register “snow” didn’t make the top 5. These guys are starting to improve a lot but they will need some dramatic changes to compete with the houses above them.

Top sororities only consider Lambda and Sigma Chi top tier all other fraternities would be considered a step down.

Agree HUGE gap after Sigma Chi and then I would switch TKE and SN. SN surpassed TKE several years ago!

agree HUGE GAP after Lambda Chi and Sigma Chi and should be the ONLY two fraternities considered top tier, next middle tier starts Sigma Nu/TKE

If you can get a bid from Lambda or Sigma Chi you won the lottery!!! Those two fraternities are the ones every top tier sorority wants to partner with and every other sorority not in the top tier dreams that one day they will rise high enough to partner with Lambda or Sigma Chi

It seems like Lambda Chi and Sigma Chi are the two houses to shoot for. What houses should be the back-up plan if you don't get a bid from either?......is it a HUGE drop in prestige to be a SN or TKE or one of the others?

Lambda and Sigma Chi are the ONLY fraternities considered top tier. SN/TKE start the middle tier

Lambda Chi and Sigma Chi are the only two that are considered exclusive and an achievement to get a bid from.

Posters are right about TKE/SN. SN surpassed TKE last year as the #3 fraternity other than that it looks good

Lambda and Sigma Chi are DG,Theta, Pi Phi and Kappas first choice EVERY other fraternity is considered a let down unfortunately we must SLUM the lower fraternities every now and then.
