honest fraternity ranks/descriptions from senior
by: You’re All Welcome
As I have recently graduated, I’ve decided to bless this site with some honest rankings and perspective on fraternities from the prospective of a girl who has now been involved with her sorority for 3 years.
Top Tier
Sigma Chi: I’ve quite honestly never heard any complaints about these guys. Super chill, good looking guys with great personalities and really fun parties. Only downside is they have very little diversity, I’d say around 85% are from Orange County.
TKE: TKE is, i would say, what most people picture when they think of fraternities in general. Sororities absolutely love them and they almost undeniably have the nicest house on the row. A lot seem to be from the south or at least outside of Southern California.
Lambda: While hated by many, (including some sororities) the overall consensus is that lambda is still one of the best houses on the row. They tend to be very selective take their members largely based on their families wealth and prestige. Parties are fun because of the people at them, but their party space is far from ideal.
Upper Mid Tier: Sig Nu
Very well liked by all sororities, Sig Nu isn’t what most people envision a regular fraternity being. Most members, at least the ones I’ve encountered, seem to be very artsy (in a good way) and different from a stereotypical frat bro. Really fun parties too.
AEPI: I’ve always been kind of confused as to why good sororities love these guys so much, but boy do they. Guys are definitely a bit alternative with a stoner vibe but they throw insane parties and seem to keep getting good pledge classes.
ZBT: A house that always seems to be very stagnant throughout the years, these guys have pretty much cemented their spot as a respectable house with a solid reputation and consistently above average pledge classes. Guys are extremely preppy. Not an ideal party space, but always end up making whatever they throw work.
Pike: Probably the most hit or miss house on the row in terms of guys in the house and girls loving or hating them. That said, their rep has gotten consistently better every year since I was a freshman. Have a very wide mix of guys, seem to attract a lot of their better guys from outside California similar to TKE. Throw amazing parties and had one of the best registers but their relations with sororities seem to still not be great.
Mid Tier:
Sammy: Putting these guys in the mid Tier pretty much strictly because of the probation that really killed them for the good part of last semester, but it looks like they will undeniably be back to where they were within a semester after Ezoo went off. A really fun diverse group of guys who know how to have a good time. Have a cult like following with a couple sororities but other then that pretty average across the board with their relations.
Phi Delt: Definitely an odd mixture of guys in their house from what I’ve seen, but they have probably stepped up in terms of their social more then any other house on the row in the past year. All of their parties seem to be great and more people are really starting to notice them. I personally haven’t had much experience getting to know them any deeper then a surface level so my input may be a little flawed though tbh.
Running out of room for the others but my most valuable piece of advice is to get to know guys from as many houses as you can, you will meet amazing people in places you’d never expect and to never discredit anybody based on random opinions online.

this isn't 2015 anymore rankings change they undeniably had one of the best registers and im pretty sure they mix with every sorority besides kappa. You can't put a fraternity who was on social probation the entire semester above them thats just not reasonable. Why is their one person on every ranking that says this every time actually makes 0 sense
