how competitive are ubc sororities

If you’re comparing it to the US for competitiveness then they’re not at all. UBC’s college feel is laughable compared to the US (which is expected because Canadians don’t care about the college experience). And that includes greek life. The majority of the girls in “top” sororities here wouldnt even make middle tier sororities in the states, not just bc of their looks but their personalities too. People are always bashing adpi and kappa for not being diverse enough, but they’re 10x more diverse than most US sororities, which honestly brings the competitiveness down. The incredibly low standard of sorority girls and people here in general make UBC sororities not competitive at all. I wouldn’t worry.

It's not hard to get into a "top 4" sorority tbh. Especially in the last couple years, competitiveness has gone wayy down and even the most historically picky chapters (prob kappa and gphi) aren't super picky anymore. I've been an RC and recruitment is designed to favour the PNM -- most girls who wanted to be in a top chapter ended up in one. Most girls who ended up in middle or bottom sororities did so because they genuinely liked those chapters. It's really only on greekrank that it's made to seem super competitive when in reality it's not.
