Order of Omega.
by: jeepDoes anyone know what the order of omega is and how you get chosen to be on this list. I heard it looks fabulous on a resume. My cousin in the states says its prestigious is this true or is this just an American thing?

Hello! OOO member here. Order of Omega is an honour society where the top 5% of Greeks (this includes the engineering, business, etc. frats although I don’t think any are actual members) can apply into. On your application, they take into account your grades (it helps to be in GSA), leadership positions (AMS, club execs, board members, etc) as well as srat involvement (IFC/Panhel/chapter position).
I’m not actually sure who the exec team members are for it right now but they have a FB page you can message for more information.
As for what they do, it’s basically just a networking group within the IFC/Panhel community comprised of members who are considered active leaders. They’ll host occasional events where members can all go to, and membership is for life (once you pay once you won’t need to pay again unless it’s something like formal).
