Kappa Kappa Gamma Philanthropy
by: UmmmmmSo since Kappa paid to have the last post about this deleted, just want to note that their recruitment video and their website states that their philanthropy is the "Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation" which has not existed since 2017. The charity was dissolved three years ago. A girl in their recruitment video says that a main reason for her joining is for philanthropy then goes on to say a charity that is non-existent. I think this says a lot about them and how much they actually pay attention to their "philanthropy" when their own members don't even know anything about the charities they claim to be supporting.

Very sus indeed but she prob meant to say the canadian cancer society cuz the canadian breast cancer foundation merged with them is 2017. I just looked it up cause i was curious too. I also rewatched the video and she was stuttering a bit so she must’ve just messed up on that idk. She shouldve been more careful but she was prob nervous

It’s not necessarily about that one girl - why did whoever was editing or shooting the video not just ask her to reshoot the clip with the correct name? Or another girl in the room correct her? - but that one girl makes it clear the chapter has been telling their members that’s the name of their philanthropy or a lot of their members really have no clue what their chapter is doing philanthropy wise. Again, not a big deal but they should know and update their info to make sure all their members actually know their charity, it’s been 3 years.

It’s not about nerves, the whole recruitment video made them seem fake AF and there’s Kappas mad about this post (about something they genuinely need to fix) because it shows how hollow their supposed dedication to philanthropy is and how little they actually interact with the charities they claim to support.

So it might seem like this is just a small thing but they've been doing it for three years now and never bothered to update their website or social media info about it and marketed their phil events as being for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation which seems bizarre to me. And as someone said on the post that got deleted, if Ronald McDonald House got a name change and ADPi were still using the old one three years later, or if Service for Sight didn't exist anymore and DG was still saying they fundraised for them, people would be commenting on it.
All in all we have to be accurate about the charities we support and it seems really disingenuous to claim you care about philanthropy but not even know enough about the org to know it no longer exists.

I agree. They should address this because it does not look good for them right now. Especially after recruitment. This should be brought up to then because things need to be fixed.

Ok not every girls top priority is philanthropy which is fine, but did the philanthropy chair really never correct anyone? Where did the money go to for their bake sale? Yikes their Instagram post says they raised $1400 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation... where did it go??

OH MY GOD for the love of god ya'll are really dragging this out in efforts to smear another chapter during recruitment. THEY OBVIOUSLY HAVE BEEN SEEING THESE COMMENTS and will do something about it if they've removed your (Agressive) posts
as for all the alluding do them like...what..taking the donations for themselves??? is that actually what you're trying to say. They have a PHYSICAL TROPHY from CIBC Run for A Cure for being the top women's team for donating the most money last year
If you people really cared about philanthropy and want them to use CANCER SOCIETY instead of BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION (they merged by the way, its not like the initiative to fundraise for breast cancer is NON-EXISTENT) then REACH OUT TO THEIR LEADERSHIP INSTEAD OF GOING ON GREEKRANK...
