What do people think about gamma phi

by: Thoughts

What’s everyone’s take on gamma phi here? I’m thinking going though rush this year and I’m a “legacy girl” for gamma phi. Thing is, my sister joined in the early 2010s and I’m sure the sorority isn’t the same as it was back then. She also really wants me to keep an open mind (as do I) but I would love, love to be in the same sorority as she was. I love their insta page but it’s not much to go off of. What do people think of them here? And any tips for rush in general?

They're awesome! They're a top tier sorority. In terms of vibe think of preppy vsco girl but really you'll just need to see for yourself during recruitment! I'm sure they're still very similar to when your sister was active - unlike frats, sororities vibes dont change that much over the years. But they have been getting more diverse recently which is a good thing. Keep an open mind and good luck!

Keep your options open. I was a legacy for a "top" chapter and chose a "middle" chapter over it because that's where I felt I fit in best. Don't feel pressured to join a chapter just because you want to appease your sister.

I think overall people really like gamma phi. All the girls I know are super sweet and they’re always a lot of fun! That said though, don’t go into recruitment with a particular sorority in mind; check out every sorority and if the one you end up liking best of gamma phi then awesome! But another might be best for you - you just have to decide for yourself :)
